Defending champion Tex Town Tigers has forced a decisive game five in the 2010 Holland Series after defeating Sparks Haarlem 4-3 in eight innings on Saturday. A walk-off RBI double by Merel Oosterveld in the bottom of the first extra inning sealed the win for the Tigers.
Earlier in the game Tex Town overcame a 1-3-deficit to deny a Sparks celebration in Enschede. A RBI double by Lindsey Meadows tied the contest in the bottom of the sixth. Karin Tuk (TTT) and Nathalie Gosewehr (SPH) hit solo homeruns.
Meadows (W) went the distance in the circle, allowing seven hits, three runs (1 ER) and two walks in eight innings, while striking out nine. Dagmar Bloeming (L) took the loss in relief of Kirsten Scheele, who had issued three runs (2 ER) on four hits in 5 2/3 frames. Game five will be played on Sunday afternoon in Haarlem.
