The German first baseman/pitcher Robin Drache of the SOLINGEN ALLIGATORS took part in the Power Showcase International High School Homerun Derby at the Tropicana Field in January. He wasn’t able to hit the ball over the fence during the competition. During the scouting day at the New York Yankees facilities in Tampa, Florida his arm was clocked with 85 MPH. The 18-year-old ran the 60 yards in 6.7 seconds. Last year he won the bronze medal at the European Under-21 Championship with the German National Team.
