The Heidenheim Heidekoepfe have signed two players with European experience for the 2017 season. Both are coming from the Brisbane Bandits to the German Baseball-Bundesliga. Justin Erasmus and Mitch Nilsson won the championship in the Australian Baseball League. Erasmus played for the Oosterhout Twins in the Dutch Hoofdklasse and the German Baseball-Bundesliga club Munich-Haar Disciples last year, Nilsson played the past two seasons for Kotlarka Prague in the Czech Extraleague. They are replacing Wes Roemer and Terrell Joyce on the Heidenheim roster, who transferred to Draci Brno. Erasmus and Nilsson also will serve as pitching and hitting coaches with the Heidekoepfe.
