Haar Disciples bring in Outfielder, Pitcher for 2010 Season

The German Baseball-Bundesliga club Haar Disciples has signed their first players for the upcoming season. The 26-year-old outfielder Dominic Maric comes from the Mainz Athletics. He batted .158 (.200/.158) in eight games. He also made six appearances for the Bad Homburg Hornets in the 2nd Baseball-Bundesliga (.526/.640/.579). The 23-year-old right-handed pitcher Simon Mantz went 3-8 with an ERA of 12.53 in 16 games (8 starts) for the third-division club Groebenzell Bandits. He had 66 strikeouts in 51 innings pitched (83 hits, 59 walks).
