Groups set for Women’s Softball World Championships in Caracas

Via BaseballSoftballUK arrives us word about the groups for the 2010 ISF Women’s Fastpitch World Championships, which will be held in Caracas, Venezuela from June 23 to July 2. The Netherlands, Great Britain and the Czech Republic will represent Europe in the 16-team field.

The Dutch team and GB are slotted together with Olympic champion Japan and Canada in Pool A, while the Czech team has to face Team USA and Australia in Pool B. The first four teams in each group will qualify for the second round.
