Grosseto’s Players on Verge of Strike

According to a report by Baseball.it after having not getting paid since June 10 Montepaschi Grosseto’s players decided to go on strike last Monday and will do it again if the situation doesn’t improve. They returned to practice on Tuesday and decided to play the series against Danesi Nettuno. In game one on Thursday they celebrated a 6-2 victory. However the situation remains delicate, especially since rumors about financial problems of Grosseto are on the surface since winter, when the organization wasn’t able to find a new main sponsor, as Monte dei Paschi has reduced the budget.
