Grosseto continues dominance of Nettuno

MONTEPASCHI still has the number of NETTUNO and won also the fourth game between these two clubs this season. Raul Marval and Gabriele Ermini opened the scoring in the first with a RBI groundout and a RBI single. DANESI cut the deficit to a run in the fourth on double play groundball by Luis Ugueto. Lorenzo Avagnina added an insurance run in the sixth, when he reached home on a fielding error by second baseman Renato Imperali. GROSSETO won 3-1 in the end.
Lincoln Mikkelsen allowed five hits, one run and two walks in 7 1/3 innings. He struck out seven in the win. Nelson Cruz took the loss, issuing five hits, three unearned runs and four base on balls in six innings. Anthony Ferrari received the save.

SAN MARINO defeated GODO on Thursday evening 3-1. They took a fast 2-0 lead in the first on a RBI double by David Sheldon and a RBI single by Max Di Biase. Di Biase added another run in the fifth with a sacrifice fly. A bases loaded walk by Kyle Messineo in the seventh led to the lone run by DE ANGELIS.
Horacio Estrada struck out seven in 6 1/3 solid innings for the win. He allowed three hits, one run and two walks. Ryan Baerlocher lost another game. He was charged with seven hits, three runs and two bb in five innings.
