Godo upsets Parma again, wins in 10

After surprisingly crushing PARMA 13-3 on Thursday, GODO upset the playoff spot contender again on Friday. They prevailed 6-4 in the ten innings, thanks to a two-run shot by Danilo Sanchez in the last frame. They had tied the game in the top of the eighth through Mike Lockwood’s solo homerun. CARIPARMA had taken a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh on a RBI single by Adolfo Gomez and a two-run double by Ettore Finetti.
Michael Nisco (GOD) pitched six solid innings, giving up four hits, one run and three walks. Michael Jared Natale (PAR) allowed seven hits, three runs and a base on balls in six innings. Matthew Agostinelli received the win, Roberto Corradini took the loss.
Danesi Nettuno – Fortitudo Bologna 2-4

Claudio Liverziani had a RBI double and a solo homerun in his first two at bats and BOLOGNA took a fast 3-0 lead behind his big hits en route to a 4-2 victory in NETTUNO. DANESI cut the deficit to a run in the bottom of the fourth when Vincent Parisi came through with a two-run single. However they could not score afterwards. FORTITUDO added an insurance run in the top of the ninth on a throwing error by catcher Parisi.
Cody Cillo (BOL) picked up the win in a duel with Giovanni Carrara (NET). He allowed two runs on six hits and four walks in six innings. Carrara gave up five hits, three runs (2 ER) and a bb in seven.
Telemarket Rimini – Montepaschi Grosseto 5-4

RIMINI tied the series with a 5-4 victory against GROSSETO on Friday. They scored three runs in the ninth to overcome a 2-4 deficit. Juan Melo (2-5, 3 RBI) tied the game with a two-run homerun. Luigi Carrozza’s fourth hit of the night was his biggest, when he drove in Mario Chiarini with a single to finish the late rally successfully. Jairo Ramos hit a solo homerun for MONTEPASCHI and drove in two. Jorge Nunez was three-for-five with two runs scored.
Chris Di Roma (RIM) allowed eight hits, four runs (3 ER) and two walks in seven innings. Chris Cooper (GRO) was responsible for seven hits, two runs and a bb in six innings. Michele Quattrini picked up the win, Yovany D’Amico the loss.
Rangers Redipuglia – T&A San Marino 0-9

SAN MARINO also won the second game against the RANGERS in lopsided fashion. Tiago Silva struck out six in five one-hit one-walk innings to lead his team to a 9-0 shutout. Mattew Marrone completed the four-hitter with four scoreless innings to close out the game.
Simone Albanese drove in three. Dean Rovinelli and Adolfo Matamoros each scored twice.
Matteo Bertoldi took the loss, getting charged with four hits, six runs (4 ER) and three bb in four innings.
