Germany secures 4th place with a win over France

Germany beat France 7-1 and has secured a birth to the World Champioships in 2009.

German starter Tim HENKENJOHANN pitched a dominant game for 7 innings, giving up no runs, 3 hits, 1 BB and 7 strikeouts. The french pitchers PIQUET and LEBLANC had much more trouble with the Germany lineup and gave up 7 runs in the first 6 innings.

Germany received key offensice perfomances by GÜHRING (2 RBI), Lutz (3 for 4, 1 R, 1 RBI) and WULF (2 for 3, 2 R, 1 RBI). The only French run was scored on a single by PEYRICHOU (2 for 3, 1 RBI).
