Germany, Croatia European Representatives at World Baseball Challenge

The organizers of the 2009 World Baseball Challenge, which will be held in Prince George, British Columbia this summer, finalized the roster of teams recently. Eight squads will compete in a round-robin format from Thursday, July 16 to Sunday, July 26. Besides Team USA, Canada, Taiwan, the Reno Astros, Prince George Axemen and the Bahamas Europe also will be represented with Germany and Croatia. The German National Team with head coach Greg Frady will use the tournament as preparation for the IBAF Baseball World Cup in September.
