Last year’s final four participant NEUNKIRCHEN NIGHTMARES crushed the KIEL SEAHAWKS on opening weekend in the German Softball Bundesliga. They needed just four innings in game one to win 17-0. They followed this up with a 14-4 romp after five frames in the second.

Last year’s runner up the BRAUWELIER RAGING ABBOTS visited the COLOGNE CARDINALS and returned home with a win and a loss. The 2007 champion MANNHEIM TORNADOS and the HAMBURG KNIGHTS did not play last weekend.
