The first and lone German player in the American independent league circuit, right-handed pitcher Martin Dewald, got traded from the River City Rascals (Frontier League) to the Kansas City T-Bones (American Association) on Friday. The two teams used the transaction to complete a trade from June 4, which sent Nick Farnsworth to the Rascals. Dewald already was on the roster for Friday’s game against Winnipeg. River City used the 25-year-old German national teamer solely as a reliever. In seven games he went 1-0 with an ERA of 5.40, striking out three in 3 1/3 innings, walking one.
