German right-handed pitcher Markus Solbach is returning to the Australian Baseball League. The hard-throwing German national teamer already pitched in the ABL in 2011 for the Melbourne Aces. Now he is suiting up for the Sydney Blue Sox. Getting released from the Minnesota Twins in 2013, Solbach used a strong performance in independent league ball to get back to the affiliated minor leagues, when he signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks this year. He finished the season with a combined 3.39 ERA in the Diamondbacks farm system with 6.4 strikeouts per nine innings.
