German Finals: Untouchables Paderborn take 2-0 Lead

The Untouchables Paderborn stunned defending champion Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg on its home field and took a 2-0 lead after the first two games of the best-of-five series this weekend. On Saturday Paderborn overcame a 0-2 deficit and prevailed 4-3 after ten innings, as Eugen Heilmann pitched a complete game and Bjoern Schonlau drove in the game winner. One day later Brian Fields won a pitcher’s duel against Justin Kuehn. Both starters allowed just four hits in nine innings. Julius Uelschen scored the lone run of the game on an error in the sixth.
