In the German Baseball-Bundesliga the last full game day of the regular season was played last weekend. Only a couple of make-up games in the south are left on the schedule with the last spot in the playoffs being decided between the Haar Disciples and Stuttgart Reds.
Meanwhile the Solingen Alligators and Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg clinched the number-one seeds in the north and the south. The Alligators shut out the Berlin Sluggers in both ends of a doubleheader in the German capital. Regensburg had to play four games against the Reds and the Tubingen Hawks, winning all four of them. Ludwig Glaser led the way, going 14-19 with three home runs, nine runs scored and 14 RBI including a 6-for-6, eight-RBI performance in the second match on Sunday.
In other memorable performances on the weekend, Charley Olson threw seven no-hit innings for the Bonn Capitals against the Cologne Cardinals. His teammate Florian Nehring hit two home runs (including a grand slam) in one inning in game one of the twin bill.
