The Rouen Huskies are one win away from winning the championship in the French Division I. On Saturday they beat the Templiers Senart 5-1 behind strong pitching from Owen Ozanich and Yoann Vaugelade, who kept Senart to a first-inning run and five hits overall. Maxwell Mac Nabb took the loss for the Templiers.

Senart had opened the scoring in the top of the first, when Nick Massonia drove in Florian Peyrichou with a sac fly. However Andrew Medeiros tied the contest moments later with a solo home run after an eight-pitch at-bat. In the second Sebastien Duchossoy scored on a RBI groundout by Derek Cornell to put the Huskies up in front.

Pitching then prevailed until the eighth, when Rouen added three more runs through Larry Infante, Bastien Dagneau and Cornell due to a pair of errors and a RBI groundout from Duchossoy.

Game four and if needed five will be played this Sunday.
