Frantisek Vasourek lone European at 2010 Power Showcase HR Derby

Frantisek Vasourek of the Czech Extraleague club AVG Draci Brno is going to be the lone European representative in the 2010 edition of the International High School Power Showcase Home Run Derby this weekend at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 2009 Matej Sucha (CZE), Robin Drache (GER), Paolino Ambrosino (ITA) and Mike Bazuin (NED) made the trip to the sunshine state, in 2008 Christopher Howard (GER).

The fourth Power Showcase starts on Friday with a pre-workout and a tour of the IMG Baseball Academy in Bradenton, Florida. On Saturday the invitees will take batting practice at George Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. The homerun derby will take place on Sunday at Tropicana Field.
