Our friends at Baseball.it among other news outlets, including the Associated Press, report that the president of the Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS) Riccardo Fraccari is pondering the possibility to succeed Dr. Harvey Schiller as president of the International Baseball Federation (IBAF). Other mentioned candidates apparently could be the Australian John Ostermeyer, who is currently the IBAF’s secretary general, and the American Donald Fehr, who will step down as head of the Major League Players Association in the near future. The election takes place on December 6th in Lausanne, Switzerland. Candidates have to submit their bids by November 6th.
