BOLOGNA prevailed in one of the wildest games this year so far and won also the second game in Grosseto. However they needed twelve innings to secure the victory.
They scored four runs in the third extra inning to hold MONTEPASCHI down. Ryner Bautista got them in front with a solo homerun. Joseph Mazzuca was later hit by a pitch to force in another run, before Manuel Gasparri two more added through a two-run single. A GROSSETO rally in the bottom of the period fell short.
FORTITUDO had tied the contest in the top of the ninth on a throwing error by the left fielder and a sac fly. They took the lead in the tenth on Bautista’s first homerun of the day, but MONTEPASCHI countered with Kelly Ramos, who also homered.
GROSSETO starter Yovani D’Amico dominated for six innings, allowing just two hits and a walk. BOLOGNA had Cody Cillo on the mound at the beginning, who gave up five hits, two runs and two base on balls in 6 1/3 innings. Fabio Milano received the win, Leonardo D’Amico the loss.

FORTITUDO completed the sweep against the defending champion on Saturday evening. They got the bats going early and won by a final score of 9-6.
BOLOGNA scored in every of the first five frames to take an 8-0 lead midway through the fifth. GROSSETO cut the deficit to three runs, but the comeback try was unsuccessful. Richard Austin drove in three runs. Ryner Bautista and Joseph Mazzuca each had three hits and scored twice. Jairo Ramos had two RBI for the home team. Jorge Nunez reached home two times.
FORTITUDO starter Fabio Betto started strong but was in danger to blow the advantage and was chased from the match, before he was eligible to receive the win. He was charged with six hits, five runs (4 ER) and a walk in 4 1/3 innings. Alfredo Lopez earned the win. Luca Panerati took the loss, after he allowed six hits, five runs and two bb in two-plus innings.
Rangers Redipuglia – Danesi Nettuno 0-10

Giovanni Carrara and Victor Arias combined for a seven-inning two-hitter to lead NETTUNO to a 10-0 shutout against the RANGERS on Saturday afternoon.
Andrea Castri’ delivered the majority of the run support with two homeruns. He scored three times and drove in three. Igor Schiavetti had three hits and two RBI.
Andrea Cossar was charged with nine hits, seven runs and two walks in 2 2/3 innings for the loss.
Rangers Redipuglia – Danesi Nettuno 0-6

Another shutout in the evening brought DANESI their third victory in the third match. They scored once again early and REDIPUGLIA never got things going. Ramon Tavarez provided three hits and two RBI in four at bats. Frank Menechino and Andrea Castri’ both scored two times.
Carlos Richetti allowed just two hits in five innings for the win. He struck out four. Marco Zorzenon gave up ten hits, five runs and a walk in 3 1/3 innings.
Cariparma – T&A San Marino 5-9

SAN MARINO took a 6-1 lead after three innings and hold off a PARMA rally to win 9-5 on the road. Martin Vazquez, Max De Biase and Davide Colicchio each hit homeruns for T&A. Adolfo Matamoros drove in two. Adolfo Gomez had two RBI for CARIPARMA. Orlando Munoz had three hits, two runs and a RBI.
Matteo Tonellato failed to convert the early run support in a win for him, as he gave up seven hits, four runs and two walks in 3 2/3 innings. Luca Martignoni got the “W” instead. PARMA starter Flippo Mori took the loss after 4 1/3 innings, five hits, six runs (4 ER) and six bb.
Telemarket Rimini – De Angelis Godo 6-1

RIMINI scored two times three runs and won the series against GODO with the 6-1 on Saturday. Mario Chiarini hit a two-run homerun and got three RBI overall. Manny Alexander, Clinton Balgera and Leo Serafin de Camargo also drove in runners. David Skrehot had brought a short lived lead for DE ANGELIS in the top of the first with a RBI single.
Sandy Patrone won the game after giving up four hits, a run and four bb in six innings. Matteo Galeotti allowed nine hits, six runs and three walks in 4 2/3 innings.
