The participants of the Final Four in the German Softball-Bundesliga are set. After a two-week hiatus due to the European Championships Junior Girls the quarterfinals continued last weekend. The NEUNKIRCHEN NIGHTMARES and the HAMBURG KNIGHTS completed sweeps against the FREISING GRIZZLIES and the HERRENBERG WANDERERS.
The host of the Final Four on September 20/21, the MANNHEIM TORNADOS, which also won the championship a year ago, scored eight runs in both ends of the twin bill last Saturday and won the series 3-1 against the BRAUWEILER RAGING ABBOTS. The HAAR DISCIPLES needed to go the distance and eliminated the WESSELING VERMINS with a 6-4 victory on Sunday in game five.
