After losing the championship to the MARLINS on Saturday, the FC BARCELONA at least secured second place in the Spanish Division de Honor with a 7-3 victory on Sunday. They took the lead through four runs in the second and added three more insurance runs in the end. Felix Isasi, Albert Diaz, Juan Salazar and Emmanuel Febles each had a RBI. Oscar Roman and Pau Sancho each scored twice. Ivan Granados had two RBIs for PUERTO CRUZ. Richard Montiel scored two times.
Remigio Leal (W 6-2) went the distance for his sixth win of the year, allowing five hits, three runs (2 ER) and two walks, while striking out five. Granados (L 12-2) lost for the second time this season, giving up three hits, four runs (2 ER) and a base on balls in three innings.

NAVARRA and SAN INAZIO, finishing in sixth and fifth this year, concluded their season with a split.
The team from Pamplona took a fast 5-0 lead after two innings in the first match, celebrating an 8-0 shutout in the end. German Arroyo (W 5-5) and Juan Jose Lopez combined to throw a six-hitter, while striking out seven. Luis Villanueva went three-for-five with a double and two RBI. Sergio Sousa and Raul Aristu each scored twice. Erik Arteaga (L 8-6) gave up eleven hits, eight runs (6 ER) and two bb in eight innings. He struck out eight.
In the second game BILBAO got revenge, scoring three runs in the fifth in a 4-2 victory. Carlos Vicario had the big hit with a two-run single. Leadoff hitter Juan Manuel Nieves scored two times. Aitor Rubio (W 2-0) struck out eight in a complete game victory. He was responsible for nine hits, two runs and seven walks during the nine frames, working out of jams the whole time. Sergio Sousa (L 0-1) pitched eight innings, giving up five hits, four runs (2 ER) and four bb for the loss.

The ASTROS stayed without a win in the Spanish Division de Honor season 2008. They lost both of ends of a doubleheader in VILADECANS the past weekend to finish with a horrible 0-32 record and a run differential of 49 to 333.
In game one CB scored five runs in the first and five in the seventh frame to complete a 10-0 shutout. In addition starting pitcher Alberto Magallon (W 5-6) went the distance, allowing just one hit and a walk, while striking out six. A sixth-inning single by Alberto Orti denied the no-hit bid. Eric Segura went two-for-four with two doubles and four RBI. Jordi Perez had three hits, two runs and three RBI in three at bats. Norman Nelson Cows (L 0-13) was charged with six hits, five runs and eight bb in six innings of work.
In the second match VILADECANS built up another commanding lead in the first seven periods and won 9-3 in the end to finish with an 11-21 record in seventh place. Jordi Perez had another three-hit performance on the plate, scoring twice and driving in two more runners. Abel Jimenez (W 1-0) allowed just three hits and five walks in seven innings to pick up the win. Jorge Gomez (L 0-9) gave up seven hits, four runs (2 ER) and two bb in five innings.
