At an extraordinary assembly of the regional federations in Bonn, the German Baseball and Softball Federation (DBV) elected a new executive board on Saturday. Former National Team pitcher Mirko Heid (Bonn) succeeds Michael Hartmann as DBV President, who stepped down in September. Also new on the board are Christopher Goulet (Paderborn), Philipp Hoffschild (Regensburg), Lena Foerst (Hamburg) and Stefan Hoffmann (Darmstadt). Juergen Elsishans (Mannheim) returns to the board as lone remaining member of the previous executive. All six members got elected unanimously. The board gets completed by Gunnar Schaefer (Magdeburg), who represents the DBV Youth Organization.
