Europeans in the Majors & Minors through August 11

Lars Huijer and Danny Arribas continued putting up big numbers, while Tom Stuifbergen was lost to an elbow injury. Kalian Sams appeared for his third organization of the year, in addition to his Kingdom of the Netherlands WBC duty, after being picked up by the Texas Rangers.

All current major or minor league players developed in European baseball are listed here.

MLB –

Didi Gregorius, Arizona Diamondbacks. Netherlands.
Current team: Arizona Diamondbacks (MLB)
Has one hit in 20 AB this month. For the 2013 season he’s hitting .260 in 78 G, 273 AB, 37 R, 19 RBI, 24 BB, 49 K.

Roger Bernadina, Washington Nationals. Netherlands.
Current team: Washington Nationals (MLB)
Has appeared in six games over the last two weeks, totaling 3 at bats. For the year he’s hitting .180 with 150 AB in 84 G, 18 R, 6 RBI, 9 XBH, 11 BB, 43 K, 3 SB.

Triple A-

Alex Liddi, Baltimore Orioles. Italy.
Current team: Norfolk Tides (AAA)

Followed his seven inning shutout from last time with an eight-inning one-hitter with only one walk. Appeared a few days later and threw only 2.2 innings, but was his 5th appearance and 4th consecutive start without allowing a run. 7-1, 1.49 ERA in 54 innings (10 games). 30 H, 9 R, 16 BB, 46 K.
