The Netherlands beat Italy 4-2 in semi-final one at the 2011 European Junior Championship in Gijon, Spain. A RBI single by Van Doesburg got them a 2-1 lead in the fourth. RBI singles by D. True and J. Angela increased the gap to three runs in the sixth. Italy only managed to score one more run afterwards. R. Schel (W, 2-0) issued six hits, a run and a walk in 5 1/3 innings, striking out seven. N. Marangoni (L, 0-1) gave up four hits, two runs (1 ER) and a bb in four frames.
Germany – Czech Republic 3-8

The Czech Republic out-slugged Germany in the second semi-final en route to an 8-3 win, clinching their finals ticket. R. Sazavsky led the Czech offense with three hits and four runs. D. Vittek (W, 2-0) went the distance, conceding five hits, three runs (2 ER) and two bb, striking out nine. M. Woehrl (L, 0-1) took the loss for Germany.
