2009 Dutch champion DOOR NEPTUNUS announced on Saturday on their website that they have reached an agreement with Eldrion Regina over a contract for the 2010 season. The 23-year-old outfielder, who was born in Curacao, made his debut in the Hoofdklasse this year for SPARTA/FEYENOORD ROTTERDAM.
Regina batted .309 (OBP .356/SLG .395) with twelve runs scored and 17 RBI in 41 games. He was tied with Rene Cremer (Corendon Kinheim) for the league-lead in triples (4). He is studying International Business Management in The Hague. He is the third new player for NEPTUNUS so far besides Marvin Bleij and Danny Rombley.
