After the earlier rainout in Neuenburg, the second game in Heidenheim also was victimized by rain. The match between the Netherlands and the Czech Republic got postponed in the bottom of the first after the Dutch team had put two runs on the board thanks to a two-run single by Bas de Jong in the top of the frame. But it was all for nothing. Diegomar Markwell would have been the starter for the Netherlands; Petr Minarik took the mound for the Czech team. A new date wasn’t announced yet.
