On Saturday morning on the backfield at ETO Ballpark the team of manager Paco Figueroa downed Greece 12-1. Four runs in the first and seven combined in the fifth and sixth blew the game open. Greece dropped to 0-2.

Yancarlo Franco meanwhile went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two runs scored and four RBI. Jesus Golindano had three hits and two RBI. Max Gouoren accounted for the lone Greek run with a solo home run in the sixth.

On the mound Jorge Balboa was stellar, allowing just one hit and a walk in five scoreless innings. He struck out seven. Ivan Granados and Leslie Nacar pitched the sixth and the seventh for Spain. Dimitros Kourtis surrendered seven hits, five runs and walk in four innings to take the loss.
