Dutch Softball: Tex Town Tigers still undefeated
The TEX TOWN TIGERS swept the doubleheader against SPARKS HAARLEM and stayed undefeated. Lindsey Meadows pitched two complete games to bring her win total to six. She allowed two runs on seven hits in the first match and four hits, a run and two walks in the second.
TERRASVOGELS split their series against the TWINS, losing their first game this season. The TWINS used a three-run third to upset the champion of last year. Andee Lindgren was two for three and drove in two. TERRASVOGELS got revenge in the second part of the doubleheader, winning 8-1 in five innings. Dana Horeman got two hits and two RBI. Linda Hoenderdos scored twice.
The EURO STARS got two victories against OLYMPIA HAARLEM and closed the gap to the middle of the standings. Linden Jones struck out eight in an 8-1 pounding in game one. She also earned the win in the second match, pitching five innings of six-hit relief in a 2-1 affair.
The CENTRALS took two wins from the GRYPHONS. Candice Freel struck out eight in a 2-0 shutout in the first part of the DH. She allowed just three hits and three walks. They overcame two deficits in the second game, with Freel hitting two doubles and driving in two.
