Dutch Softball Team rallies in victory

The Netherlands Women Softball Team stays undefeated on their current American trip. They overcame a 1-5 deficit to defeat the University of California in Berkeley 7-5. It was their fourth victory in the fourth game.
The college squad scored two in the first and three more runs in the fifth to take a commanding 5-1 lead. But the Dutch rallied for six runs in the top of the sixth to turn the score into their favour.
Nina VAN HUISSTEDEN came through with a two-run-single. Kim KLUIJSKENS (photo) had three hits in three at-bats, scored a run and drove in another. Saskia KOSTERINK (2-3) reached home twice.
Rebecca SOUMERU allowed six hits, five runs (3 ER) and three walks in 4.1 innings pitched. Judith VAN KAMPEN relieved her and got the win finishing the game with 2 2/3 one-hit innings.
The team is travelling to Hawaii today and is going to play eleven more games until March 10.
