The Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association selected 16 women to the national team roster for the 12th World Softball Championship from June 23 to July 2 in Caracas, Venezuela. A 17th and last player, a pitcher, will be nominated by head coach Craig Montvidas in the next couple of days. Before the tournament the Netherlands will participate in the warm-up tournament Venezuelan International Series. They also are going to play a few exhibition games at home.
