Dutch National Team announces Final Roster / Deal with Adidas

The Dutch national team has announced its 24-man roster for the European Championship, which starts on Friday. The biggest cuts were Roger Bernadina and Juan Carlos Sulbaran, which are needed with their respective MLB organizations. Ten professional players remain on the roster, including Nick Urbanus, Sharlon Schoop, Hainley Statia, Gilmer Lampe, Tom Stuifbergen, Wendell Loranus, Curt Smith and Kalian Sams. Also on the team is Mike Bolsenbroek from the German club Buchbinder Legionaere. The rest of the roster is coming from the Dutch Hoofdklasse.

Right in time for the European Championship, in which the Netherlands face Spain, Czech Republic, Greece, Croatia and Russia in the first round, the Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB) announced a sponsorship deal with adidas. adidas Baseball Europe is equipping the squad with off field training clothes and batting gloves.
