The Dortmund Wanderers, which are bringing back Matt Kemp and Trevor Howell to lead the team in the northern division of the German Baseball-Bundesliga, have added a former Minor Leaguer. The Australian Elliot Biddle is going to play in Germany in 2011. The 22-year-old left-hander was signed by the Minnesota Twins and spent the 2008 season with their Gulf Coast League affiliate, allowing six hits, three runs (2 ER) and three walks in 4 2/3 innings. Dortmund is probably using him as an outfielder, since Kemp will fill the role as starting pitcher in game two. Biddle played in the Australian Baseball League this winter, batting .313/.365/.463 with two homeruns, four doubles, 16 runs and nine RBI in 17 games for the Melbourne Aces.
