German outfielder/first baseman Donald Lutz is becoming hitting coach for the Arizona League Reds, a farm team of the Cincinnati Reds. The club announced their coaching staff this week with Lutz serving under manager Jose Nieves in Goodyear, Arizona. The 28-year-old is currently tearing off the leather in the Australian Baseball League for the Brisbane Bandits, but still is switching to coaching apparently. Lutz played nine seasons for the Reds and reached the big leagues in 2013 as first German developed player.
