German first baseman/outfielder Donald Lutz of the Cincinnati Reds has concluded his winter ball stint with Yaquis de Obregon. The 25-year-old, who had 51 at-bats in 28 games in the big leagues this year, batted .280/.363/.473 with six home runs, three triples, 16 doubles, 28 runs and 26 RBI in 55 games in the Liga Mexicana del Pacifico this fall. It was his second consecutive year playing for Obregon. With the playing time in Mexico he managed to bring his 2014 total to 542 at-bats in 158 games. It is the largest amount of his professional career. As a member of the 40-man roster of the Cincinnati Reds he will be competing for a big league job in Spring Training.
