One of the most anticipated match-up of the season takes place this weekend in Catalonia, when the FC BARCELONA hosts local rivals CB SANT BOI. In addition both clubs are in contention for the Spanish championship this season, with the guest leading the standings and BARCA following in third with a game difference. The first match on Saturday evening will have the pitcher’s duel between Homer Baez (3-1, ERA 0.79) and Albert Vargas (5-1, ERA 0.99). On Sunday Jorge Balboa (2-0, ERA 0.47) squares off with Jose Cruz (2-1, ERA 3.31), who starts another time for injured national team hurler Yoel Hernandez. But don’t be surprised when Yaeko Vazquez gets another chance after his complete game from last week.
