Deciscion Time in Bundesliga
Due to a few rain outs at the beginning of the season the game day this weekend is not the last of the regular season. Nonetheless decisions could be made regarding the playoff participants. In the North BONN, COLOGNE and DORTMUND are locked in a three-team race for the last two spots. The CARDINALS are currently in third with a 13-10 record and travelling to PADERBORN on Sunday. Afterwards they have three games left in SOLINGEN and at home against the REGENTS. They might have the toughest schedule of all three, but have both tiebreakers on their side.
The CAPITALS are in fourth place with a 13-12 record, playing at the STEALERS on Saturday and having a makeup game against the ALLIGATORS left. They lost three of four versus COLOGNE and the tiebreaker against the WANDERERS goes the other way. DORTMUND is in fifth with a 12-14 record with just the upcoming doubleheader against the NEUNKIRCHEN NIGHTMARES left. They have to hope that COLOGNE losses all five games and BONN at least two of the three. Of course, they have to win their matchup too.
In the South the race for the top four is not that thrilling. The SAARLOUIS HORNETS needs a sweep in MAINZ this weekend and have to hope that the ATHLETICS lose both games next week against the BUCHBINDER LEGIONAERE too. Even if all goes well for SAARLOUIS, the HAAR DISCIPLES can move past them, if they defeat first-ranked HEIDENHEIM HEIDEKOEPFE in all four games left. The MANNHEIM TORNADOS, who are currently in third with a 14-10 record have a bye this game day. Mathematically they could drop out of the top four. However with four games left, two at home, against the seventh-ranked GAUTING INDIANS it is highly unlikely.
