In the Czech Extraleague five games were on the schedule for a mid-week game day. Skokani Olomouc stunned Arrows Ostrava with a 1-0 shutout. Dylan Brammer and Max MacNabb combined to win the pitcher’s duel against Boris Bokaj and Marko Vykoukal. Matej Laznicek scored the lone run in the bottom of the third.
With the Arrows loss and their own 6-0 win over Olympia Blansko, Draci Brno solidified their lead in the standings. Terrell Joyce and Jan Varousek issued just two hits in nine innings. Arnost Dubovy went 4-for-4 with three runs scored.
Another upset happened in the Czech capital, as the Tempo Titans Prague prevailed 8-7 over Kotlarka Prague. The Tempo Titans scored three runs in the second and five in the fourth for an early lead and held off a Kotlarka rally in the end. Petr Susta went deep and drove in three. Daniel Vavrusa and Jakub Sladek homered for Kotlarka.
The Eagles Prague beat the Nuclears Trebic 10-5. The Eagles scored six runs between the third and the fifth for a 6-1 lead midway through the fifth. They added four more runs in the seventh and cruised to the victory. Joe Wittig had three hits and four RBI in the win.
The game between Cardion Hrosi Brno and Technika Brno was suspended with the score tied at 2-2.
