Cy Donald signed contract with Royal Greys

The Hawaiian infielder Cy DONALD returns to Europe in 2008. The former player of the French Club Huskies Rouen signed a contract with the Royal Greys in Belgium. Both teams will face each other in the European Cup.

DONALD played for Rouen in 2006. He hit .442 (OBP .492) with 37 runs scored and 23 RBI. The 24-year-old was a member of the University of San Francisco between 2002 and 2005. Overall he had a batting average of .310. After his stop in Europe he went back to the United States to play for the Slipper Rock Sliders in the Frontier League (independent). He hit .247 with 24 runs scored and 15 RBI in 79 games.

It is a good addition for the Belgium Champion of 2007. He knows the playing level in Europe very well and will drive in the Vlaamse league.
