Curacao Neptunus Rotterdam defeated L&D Amsterdam 5-1 in a re-played game in the Dutch Hoofdklasse on Tuesday evening. Only two days after the end of the World Port Tournament in Rotterdam, the game continued in the fifth inning. A protest was approved by KNBSB after Nick Urbanus used an illegal bat in the contest on June 30.
Curacao Neptunus opened the repeated game with two runs on RBI hits by Raily Legito and Gianison Boekhoudt to take a 3-1 lead. They added insurance runs in the sixth and eighth en route to the win. Kevin Kelly earned the win with four innings of scoreless relief. Dennis Burgersdijk got charged with the loss.
