Unipol Bologna has signed 34-year-old Cuban right-hander Jorge Martinez for the 2018 Season. After participating in the Cuban national team from 2003 to 2013 he went on to play professionally in the United States, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. Last year he had a 2-6 record with an ERA of 4.50 in 13 starts for Cleburne in the American Association. He struck out 57 and walked 23 in 66 innings.
