The Cologne Cardinals announced the successor for Georg Apfelbaum. 26-year-old Phoenix, Arizona native Josh Moody will take over. The graduate of Western Nevada and Arizona State University was drafted as a player by the Atlanta Braves in 2008. He returned to Western Nevada afterwards and became a successful pitching coach. Apfelbaum, who moves back to the Cards front office, is looking forward to his new coach. “Coach Moody is an excellent coach for our young players and will help us especially in the pitching department.”
