The MOSQUITO Athletics Attnang-Puchheim, which won the Austrian championship last year, replaced their head coach after a 4-2 start. Former Seattle Mariner Greg McCarthy will be replaced by the 25-year-old North Americans Jason Ermers and Nick Pardikes. Both will also help the team at the plate and on the mound. The club was not satisfied with the work of McCarthy and mentioned a lack of communication between the team and the coach as main reason for the dismissal. Ermers is a left-handed pitcher from Canada. Pardikes played for the New Mexico State University and in Belgium in the past. The A’s are off this week and take on the SUPERFUND Wanderers Vienna on May 24th.
