The wild times for Dutch right-hander Rick van den Hurk in Major League Baseball continue. The Cleveland Indians removed him from the 40-man roster on Thursday, designating him for assignment to make room for Jairo Asencio, who is coming from the Atlanta Braves. The Indians now have ten days to trade him, release him or outright him to the minors. It is just a couple of days since Cleveland had picked him up off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays. He made six appearances this Spring Training for both teams, allowing 12 hits, 12 runs (11 ER) and seven walks in eight innings on the mound. He struck out six.
