T&A San Marino
The Italian Baseball League club T&A San Marino has added another pitcher to the staff. The 25-year-old right-hander Christian Staehely is coming to the Titans. Born in Houston, Texas he is in possession of a Swedish passport and therefore is considered as an EU player. The former Minor Leaguer in the Seattle Mariners organization pitched in the United League Baseball in 2010. He had an ERA of 5.62 with 32 strikeouts and 21 walks in 32 innings for El Paso. He most likely will be used in game two each week besides Spanish national teamer Ivan Granados.
Telemarket Rimini
Telemarket Rimini is continuing to build a roster for the 2011 season in the IBL. They announced the signing of the 24-year-old outfielder Daniele Santolupo. He is coming from the Catania Warriors, which have moved back into the Serie A of the Federal Championship. In 2010 he batted .188 (OBP .271/SLG .248) with two triples, five doubles, 16 runs and two RBI in 41 games. Santolupo is going to fight for two open spots in the outfield besides Mario Chiarini. Filippo Crociati and Paolo Tanesini are the other candidates for the positions.
North East Knights
The Godo-Verona North East Knights have found their fourth and last foreign player for the 2011 season in the IBL. Rodney Rodriguez is a left-handed pitcher, 28 years old and from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He is coming from Orientales de Granada to Italy. He is expected to share the work-load in game one each week with Emmanuel Ulloa.
