The Embrach Mustangs, this year’s surprise second-place team will have their hands full against the big bats of the Challengers. Embrach (7-1), having only one true test thus far this season, defeating a depleted Bern team, and otherwise beating up on the bottom half of the league will find out if they are for real this weekend. This could not happen at a better time as the Challengers (3-3) have lost the services of Ueli von Burg (retired), whose leadership will be missed. Rumor has it that American hurler James Sanders season with the C’s maybe over as well. If that is the case, Embrach will once again be in the right place at the right time. The Challengers can knock the ball around with the best of ‘em, and will certainly need to score runs with if their pitching staff is missing Sanders.
