CD Pamplona adds former Minor Leaguer Isaac Palencia

The 25-year-old Venezuelan Isaac Palencia is joining the Spanish Division de Honor club CD Pamplona for the upcoming season. He played two seasons for the Arizona Summer League affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers organization in 2005 and 2006, batting a combined .318/.392/.391 and splitting time behind the plate, at first base and in the outfield. He is supposed to take over at catcher for Pamplona. CD is opening the new season next Sunday at 12pm with a doubleheader against San Inazio Bilbao.
