Dutch Softball: Sparks Haarlem comes back, reaches Holland Series
The TEX TOWN TIGERS already clinched their ticket for the Holland Series in Dutch Softball last week. On Monday, SPARKS HAARLEM followed, after overcoming a 0-2 deficit in the semi-final series versus 2007 champion TERRASVOGELS. They had avoided the sweep a week ago with a ten-inning 3-2 victory. Then on Saturday they were behind 1-4 in the seventh, but rallied to win 7-6 in eleven innings (Box score) and evened the series at 2-2. In the decisive fifth game two days later (Sunday’s matchup was rained out), they shut out TERRASVOGELS 2-0 to join the TIGERS in the on Friday starting Holland Series.
