We continue our review series of Europe’s baseball leagues after the Netherlands and Italy with the German Baseball-Bundesliga.

2011 Ranking: 2nd place in southern division. The Heidenheim Heidekoepfe recovered from a difficult start into the season to secure the runner up position behind the Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg, going into the playoffs. However in the quarterfinals they lost in five games to the Bonn Capitals.
