Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz – T&A San Marino 1-12 (8)
T&A San Marino captured its third win in four games at the European Cup in Parma, Italy on Saturday. They scored ten runs in the last two frames to blow things wide open. Mattia Reginato and Wuilliuans Vasquez combined for four runs and four RBI. Giovanni Pantaleoni went 3-for-4 with a run and a RBI. Peter Avvento (W) allowed three hits, an unearned run and three bb in six innings for the win. Crisitan Remidios (L) gave up four runs on ten hits and three walks in 6 1/3 frames.
Rouen Huskies – DOOR Neptunus 0-3
DOOR Neptunus shut out the Rouen Huskies 3-0 behind strong and scoreless outings by Kevin van Veen (W) and Leon Boyd (S). They combined to hold Rouen to six hits and five walks in nine innings, while striking out ten. Jeffrey Arends provided RBI doubles in the fifth and ninth to shoulder two thirds of the run support. Raily Legito added a sac fly. Eugene Kingsale scored twice. Anthony Piquet (L) allowed four hits, an unearned run and three bb in five innings.
Cariparma Parma – AVG Draci Brno 8-2
Cariparma Parma improved to 3-1 in the tournament with an 8-2 win over AVG Draci Brno. They are tied with T&A San Marino and DOOR Neptunus going into the fifth and last day of the European Cup. Alex Sambucci and Leonardo Zileri picked up four hits apiece to combined for four runs and five RBI. Rodney Medina scored twice. Roberto Corradini (W) conceded five hits, two runs and three bb in six innings for the win. Petr Minarik (L) issued eleven hits, seven runs and a walk in 4 1/3 innings.
