EC 2010 Heidenheim: Martin Schneider leads Czech Team over Ukraine

The Czech team used a seven-run fifth to beat the Ukraine 11-1 in seven innings at the European Championship in Heidenheim. Martin Schneider (W 1-0) dominated, allowing just two hits, an unearned run and a walk in seven innings. On offense, Tomas Polansky and Jan Drabek combined for six RBI. Karel Hrusovksy went 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored. Konstyatyn Korolev (L 0-1) surrendered allowed nine hits, ten runs and two bb in five innings. Both teams will be playing classification games in the next couple of days.
